Abstract :
A methodology for implementing an electronic information management system was developed. The requirements of OSHA\´s regulation (29 CFR 1910.119) "Process Safety Management of Highly Hazardous Chemical, Explosives and Blasting Agents" were researched and summarized. A generic method for implementing a management system is suggested as a guide to be used by facilities complying with the regulation. Self-evaluation is discussed to help each facility develop its own procedures. Issues concerning hardware and software were also addressed
