Abstract :
In order to compare the energy efficiency of data dissemination algorithms for wireless sensor networks, we use different performance evaluation techniques. It includes either the simulation of protocol in a simulator or analysis based on an analytical model. In this article, we propose an analytical energy consumption model for grid based data gathering schemes in WSN. The purpose of this article is to verify the accuracy of proposed analytical model. The energy consumption analysis has been performed on two grid based data dissemination schemes using the proposed analytical model. At the end, the analytical model is verified using simulations.
