Abstract
In this paper we discuss the potential of Scientific WorkPlace, the powerful new environment linking the scientific word processing software Scientific Word and the computer algebra system Maple V, for interactive scientific information processing. We also discuss the role of the document preparation software LATEX as an intermediary between Scientific WorkPlace and Maple V
