Abstract :
In ubiquitous environments, we confront lots of information we care but we are too busy to give our attention. Hence the ubiquitous computing community has recently studied about this problem and improved their solutions. One of their solutions is context- awareness. In this paper, we use context-awareness technologies, especially relative locations information. To get the location information, we use Bluetooth because it has increasingly widely been deployed due to its low power consumption and cost. The system we created to get user´s location is based on signal strength of Bluetooth. Therefore, using this information, this system re-routes the ongoing media streaming to the closest device where a user is, when the user is out of the range of a certain device. In this paper, we have shown that the accuracy of our location-awareness algorithm and our media switching system based on location-awareness works quite well.
