Abstract :
The robustness of ultra-wideband spread-spectrum (UWB-SS) communications in the presence of single tone and multiple tone continuous-wave (CW) interference or jamming is examined. The performance of antipodal modulation with a hybrid of direct-sequence and time-hopping spread-spectrum (DS/TH-SS) techniques, as well as just DS-SS signaling, is compared to that of binary pulse-position modulation (PPM) with time-hopping spread-spectrum (TH-SS) signaling for the case of correlation receivers.
