Abstract :
Low power signal processing helps in developing devices that can be portable. Gaussian filters find applications in several fields like communications, smoothening of biomedical signals, analog delays etc. The Gaussian filter when implemented in analog domain, power consumption is very low compared to the filter implemented in digital domain. This paper presents a methodology which makes use of Levin´s non-linear sequence transforms in obtaining rational approximation of Gaussian filters. A fourth order Gaussian filter is simulated and results are given which show low power consumption.
