Abstract :
In this paper, we present and analyse a spread spectrum chaos-based communication system in a multipath channel. The propagation model considers the direction of arrival and the polarization of each version of a transmitted signal. To increase the performance of the chaos-based communication system, monopoles with different orientations and no space diversity are proposed in the receiver side. In addition, the antenna´s positions are optimised to increase the capacity of the system. The new receiver structure has a low array antenna volume. Moreover, the maximum ratio combiner (MRC) algorithm for multi-antenna processing is considered. Simulation results show improvement in performance.
