Abstract
The College of Engineering at the University of Arkansas was the first college in the US to have its programs evaluated under the proposed Criteria 2000. This paper details the changes we were required to make in our programs to meet the new criteria; discuss outcomes assessments we developed and how well they are working; estimate the likely impact of outcomes assessment on continuous program improvement. Comments relative to the amount of work involved in the new accreditation process is included as are suggestions for programs soon to be evaluated under Criteria 2000
