Abstract :
Computer security is technically challenging; it is also an area with ethical, legal and sociological implications. When computer security (as well as other technical content) is taught, one should provoke students to think about the human values involved in making technical decisions. This paper develops teaching ideas for two issues in computer security: WWW cookies; and public access to government databases
