Abstract :
In this paper a novel robust signal of interest (SOI) estimation technique is proposed which mitigates the simultaneous degrading effects of finite sampling and imprecise modelling of the antenna array and spatial noise statistics. The new technique is based on the H/sup /spl infin// estimation theory and thus it is robust to model uncertainties. The new H/sup /spl infin// aposteriori estimator for SOI is based on a general state space model for the array signals and it is supported by a number of simulation results which demonstrate its robustness to calibration errors even when the SOI is fully correlated with other incident signals.
