Abstract :
The rapid development of the World Wide Web (WWW) has provided unprecedented opportunities for educators to reach audiences of students and colleagues around the world. This paper discusses the development, use, distribution, and integration into a curriculum of a set of Web-based software tutorials for undergraduate courses in automatic controls. The purpose of the tutorials is to teach students how to use MATLAB, a popular computation and visualization software package, to analyze and design automatic control systems. The tutorials combine explanatory text with sample MATLAB commands and illustrative plots and graphics, are highly interconnected, and are easily accessible over the WWW
