Abstract :
A system is developed for managing access to engineering laboratories by a number of users via remote workstations. The selected laboratory equipment is controlled by a computer which is tied to a local area network. A user at a workstation on the network is able to access the needed equipment and perform the experiment. The system provides for an orderly access to the equipment by the users for experimentation and data collection. The goal is to provide greater access to the equipment for students
