Abstract :
An improved Delaunay triangulation (DT) mesh coding method for MPEG-4 is introduced. First, a framework for mesh object coding of MPEG-4 is proposed, on which we study mesh motion coding and propose a new series estimation algorithm for triangle motion. Then, the data structure is transformed in order to fulfill the coding order of MPEG-4. Compared with the H.263 standard, this algorithm is a useful method for MPEG-4.
