Abstract :
A graph-based method for a supervisory control problem with blocking (SCPB) is presented. It can be used to analyze and solve SCPB effectively and intuitively. Several techniques for improving the satisficing measure and the blocking measure are given. The properties of these techniques are discussed. Strategies to improve both measures successively to optimize a given supervisor are considered
