Abstract :
Distributed intelligent robot network (DIRN) consists of one brain node and numerous sensor and actor nodes with human-friendly interfaces. These nodes are intended to autonomously or consciously perform knowledge-based processing such as understanding sensory events, planning appropriate actions and knowledgeable communication even with ordinary people. This paper considers awareness in a DIRN and proposes a systematic method to control it by world knowledge represented in a formal language, so called, Lmd in order for autonomous problem finding and solving.
