Abstract :
A compact, affordable THz source to provide high power is under development. The prototype is designed to operate around 600 GHz with reasonable gain and efficiency. The goal of the present project is development of a tunable THz source, based on the ubitron concept, utilizing an RF gun with an electron beam energy less than 2 MeV. This configuration results in a cost-effective, compact system capable of generating flexible, high-power THz radiation. Our simulations projected the source deliver THz radiation with 10s of watts of output power.
