Abstract :
Power plant is a huge industry to consume the resources. The annual coal consumption is more than half of the country´s consumption. It is very considerable to achieve a reasonable distribution of the load and the application of science and the prospects for economic dispatch in the power plant. In this paper, the writer established the mathematical model of load to optimize the distribution of thermal power unit and fitted coal consumption curve by using MATLAB program. The writer wrote a program of adaptive genetic algorithm by MATLAB and got results. Comparing the results with the basic genetic algorithm, the writer got the optimum program and verified the superiority of adaptive genetic algorithm in the load distribution of Power Systems.
