  • Abstract
Fully digital AC drives are becoming an industrial standard. While the traditional PWM AC motor drivers use sinusoidal reference waveforms with different optimum modulation strategies, at the present time for high performances drives, the space vector pulse modulation is used. Because the SPWM method is simple and easy to realize, it is also suitable for use in most systems. In the standard SPWM method, the resolution of SPWM has an effect on harmonic contents, especially when a low modulation index is used. This paper describes a simple method to improve the resolution of SPWM. The simulation and experiment results are presented
