Abstract :
We present the VLSI design of a high speed matched-filter for a new DS-CDMA system, named ZCZ-CDMA system which is based on zero correlation zone (ZCZ) sequence. By using the unique property of zero-correlation-zone of the ZCZ-sequences, the new system improves the transmission efficiency up to 0.5-1.0 bits/chip. To realize the information transmission at 20 Mbps, a high speed matched filter employed to carry out the despreading processing should be operated at about 50 MHz. How to design such a high speed matched filter with low consumption power is the major topics of this paper.
