Abstract :
Recently all CAD analysis and optimization techniques are moving from single or uncoupled problem solving in single domains to multi-disciplinary, multi- physics and multi-problem solving. This is the main reason why many commercial tools include modules for distributed collaborative design. Following article presents the review of the basic components and requirements to realization of different distributed CAD levels, tasks and basic descriptions of the project control systems, the PDM- systems (their components, technologies, possibilities), offered comparative analysis of the existent PDM-systems.
