Research on application of knowledge management in engineering design projects

The development trend of both design projects and design markets indicates that, knowledge management is playing an important role in engineering design projects. Firstly, the paper has built the conception framework for knowledge management of engineering design projects, and then analyzed problems faced by knowledge management in engineering design projects of current stage. In the end, from three aspects, including the administration System for promoting designers´ personal ability, the outer software and hardware for the convenience of knowledge management during the process of project design, as well as the construction of team culture for increasing knowledge exchange and sharing, the paper further provides corresponding solutions.
