Abstract :
Fiber optics components for WDM applications may be classified into three main categories, namely, micro-optics, guided-wave, and all-fiber devices. Examples of these devices may include filter couplers, array-waveguides, diffraction and fiber gratings, etc. This paper will review optical components which are suitable for commercial deployment in high-capacity WDM networks.
