Abstract :
A novel technique for creating polarization insensitive phase conjugate waves without frequency shifting by using four-wave mixing (FWM) in semiconductor optical amplifiers (SOAs) is proposed, which utilizes two counter-propagating orthogonally polarized pump fields and one conventional polarization independent SOA.
