Abstract :
In this paper we describe a robust watermarking scheme for self-recovery of tampered images using compressed sensing (CS). Here both cover work (CW) and message is same because the original image itself is embedded on the cover work multiple times, in a compressed form, using CS. Central idea of CS is that a small number of non-adaptive linear projections of a sparse signal are sufficient for error-free reconstruction of the original signal. We use the fact that natural images are approximately sparse in the DCT basis. By using CS we can decode watermark with zero error and hence original image can be recovered from tampered image, despite not knowing the host image. Even though watermarked image is tampered widely, error free detection is possible by using CS. Besides being error-free, proposed watermarking scheme has low complexity compared to other blind algorithms.
