Abstract :
We demonstrate the versatility of our optical manipulation system for simultaneous powering of microstructures with diverse sizes and geometrical profiles that will lead to specialized optically driven components for microfluidic applications. In this approach, generation of arbitrarily shaped trapping beams in the observation plane of the microscope is achieved by a straightforward phase-to-intensity conversion.
