Abstract
In order to prevent the traffic accident, several kind of safe driving support systems have been developed. And, consideration for the intention of driver´s operation will be needed for prevalence of these systems with higher safety and availability. In this paper, estimation method for driver´s intention considering using HMM has been proposed considering with the driver´s individuality to its symbolizing process. The validity of the method has been examined by the experimental driving data on the driving simulator system. And the results make clear the possibility that the proposed method can be classified the driver´s intention into the driving in hurry or normal driving.
