Abstract :
With the growth of the internet, it becomes a new demand for the enterprises to integrate many web application systems into a new application to form a single sign-on (SSO) portal. This paper demonstrates a centralized password-based authentication system using SSO for Web-based application in distributed environments. Cookie capabilities are used for implementation of this system that is called centralized cookie-based SSO or CC-SSO. Some security features are implemented in the suggested model and is compared to the existing model. The results showed that authentication time of users to access the Web resources has reduced.
