Abstract :
The UK has a strong pedigree in the development of multifunction radar (MFR) for naval, ground-based and airborne applications. BAE Systems has been active in multifunction radar development for 30 years through the MESAR, MESAR2, Sampson and ARTIST programmes, as well as internal private venture (PV) funded activities. This paper reprises the developments to date, identifying the highlights and key lessons learned. The paper also assesses future trends for MFR from a UK view point.
