Abstract :
Almost all practising engineers must, at one time or another orally present their work to their peers. Although separate classes in public speaking are frequently provided-or even required-for engineering students, they often do not provide ample opportunity to focus on the unique skills required for technical presentations. At the City College of New York, we have begun a project to integrate student presentations into a sequence of three advanced undergraduate classes in engineering. We discuss the educational objectives of the project
