Abstract
In this paper, a variant of a motion estimation technique for multiple velocities in an image neighbourhood is described. The proposed method ties in the concepts of motion estimation, instantaneous frequency and time-frequency distributions. A very brief overview about time-frequency signal analysis (TFSA) aimed to the reader who is not familiar with TFSA is given. Results are reported with the important factors to be considered when applying this technique
