  • Abstract
A new principle of digital bus protection is presented. The digital signal processor (DSP) is applied to improve computation and render fast protection feasible. The optical current transducer (OCT) is used to solve the magnetic saturation so as to improve the reliability of the system. The protection system construction, hardware structure, software flow and protection algorithm are discussed. Performance analysis shows its distinguishing advantages over the traditional bus protection.
