Abstract
In this paper we present a method for calculating the exact blocking probability in WDM rings with full, ubiquitous wavelength conversion under Poissonian, homogeneous traffic with any spatial profile. A new scalable procedure is presented to derive the normalization constant of the Erlang´s classical model for ring networks. In the same analytical framework, formulas are derived for the utilization rate and blocking probability of the ring.
