Abstract :
The paper presents an analysis of plane wave scattering from composite triple layer structures of different electrical parameters. The structure comprises two cascaded dielectric layers followed by a grounded chiral layer and all are loaded by infinite array of patches of different configurations. The reflection characteristics are analyzed for patches loading of the three layers. The analysis is based on the generalized scattering matrix (GSM). The generalized scattering matrix of each layer is obtained by solving the BC problem on the conductor at the interface of each layer using the conjugate gradient iteration scheme in conjunction with the fast Fourier transform (CG-FFT). The results illustrate that the proposed structure achieves a very high EM wave scattering characteristic over a very wide frequency band
