Abstract :
The fingerprint matching methods based on minutia has its drawbacks. Combined with minutiae and local neighbor flow pattern of the ridge, we proposed local bending potential energy around minutia as an important feature for alignment and matching. It is effective to align the direction of core point accurately. This feature achieves better alignment of local bending energy and was integrated into the matching process. For this feature will not change forever and the feature is less affected by the quality of the fingerprint image. Therefore the feature in matching appears good robustness for warping fingerprint. The result proved this method achieved further improvement and good performance on fingerprint identification.
