Abstract
This paper presents a method for reducing radar cross section (RCS) of vee wire scatterer. In this method a traveling wave current distribution is assumed along the vee wire scatterer that gives a reduced radar cross section. Impedance loading that satisfies this current distribution is determined. Using this method the reduced RCS is obtained over a wide frequency band. A stair case approximation of the impedance loading distribution is also studied. This approximation simplifies the loading implementation and at the same time gives nearly the same wide band behavior obtained for the original loads
