Abstract :
A new array interpolation method is presented in this paper, which can extend linear array aperture, otherwise the normal array interpolation is not suit for extending array aperture. The improved method came from the truth that there is a linear transform between signal space of original array and the virtual array, due to existing same linear transform between steering vectors. The new method predicted signal space vectors in terms of auto-regressive model, and calculated the transform matrix between real array and the virtual. The performance disposed by this algorithm depend on SNR and the rate between the number of array and the number of targets. Lastly, the simulation experiment was made in the computer. It is proved that the effect of this method is affected by the SNR of the receive signal.
