Abstract :
Gap discontinuities in suspended stripline are investigated rigorously using a resonance method together with a variational technique. Full-wave analysis is applied to the equivalent circuit parameters and frequency dispersion effects are taken into account. A set of design charts at Ka-band and W-band are evaluated. Using these results, a Ka-band prototype bandpass filter has been designed and tested to demonstrate the feasibility of the analysis. The measured results agree well with the theoretical predictions.<>
