Abstract
This work concentrated on the fast response time and high contrast ratio for TFT-LCD TV panel with HDTV resolution. We propose a new 42-inch LCD TV panel (1366×768) improving response time and dynamic contrast ratio with the designed one chip ASIC. The experimental result shows that the response time of gray-to-gray is about 8ms, and the dynamic contrast ratio is more than 1200:1. These characteristics of response time and contrast ratio are more useful for HDTV TFT-LCD panel.
