Abstract :
This study presents the narrow filter limit of a semiconductor laser with filtered optical feedback (FOF). To the authors´ knowledge, this study is the first asymptotic derivation of an injection laser problem for a laser subject to delayed optical feedback. This study also substantiates analytically the injection locking assumption tried in early studies of a laser subject to conventional optical feedback. Of particular interest is the linear stability analysis of the steady state solutions which can be done analytically from the reduced equations. This analysis reveals the role of key parameters (laser optical frequency, delay) and predicts different bifurcation scenario.
