Abstract
A technique based on the matrix representation of linear operators is presented to solve the inverse problem of finding a linear operator of known eigenvalues and eigenvectors. The technique solves the equations governing the discontinuity due to a junction between a rectangular waveguide and a shielded microstrip. Experimental measurements made are in good agreement with the theoretical results.<>
