Abstract :
A novel intelligent wheelchair control method is proposed in this paper, by simple voice commands to control the wheelchair to achieve operations. A health diagnosis function is used in this method to find the disease paroxysm of users, to distinguish psychological and physical state, and to avoid abnormal operation risk by disease and emotion. This method can be used to adjust walking strategies according to the environment, to choose appropriate trajectory and speed, and to reduce operating intensity and risk of users. The active control of a user and the intelligent diagnosis, intelligent control in wheelchair are combined with this method to raise operating reliability, to reduce the complexity of the operation. The intelligent wheelchair controlled with this method can move smooth and is ridden comfortable. It is a convenient and practical transport tool for the old and disabled people.
