Abstract :
The transient transmission error of Capacitor Voltage Transformer (CVT) may cause the incorrect action of relay protection. A Novel correcting method for transient error of CVT is proposed. Using this method, CVT´s primary side voltage can be calculated accurately with the secondary side voltage known. The node voltage equations based on integral equivalence is used to simplify the computation of algorithm. The decomposition of normal component and fault component is used to solve the initial value problem of algorithm. Digital low-pass filter is used to eliminate the impact of high-frequency interference signals. Simulation results testified the accuracy and effectiveness of the correcting method.
