Abstract :
This paper describes the wireless Internet and related technology developments for multimedia services. A backbone LAN for A front end LAN such as the Ethernet is discussed. The design concept and fundamental characteristics of SN 3500 is introduced together with some practical system performance and the basic block diagram. Multimedia services over an ADSL Ethernet and ATM network is discussed and some practical network for ADSL for TCP/IP end-to-end mode is introduced. The high-speed characteristics and QoS are preserved in the ATM environments over the ADSL architecture without changing protocols. Experimental evaluation is compared with the theoretical prediction to show that in the ATM environments over the ADSL architecture, the users can gain access to broadband Internet connections and in addition, ATM over ADSL should provide connections from remote users to any ATM backbone and also any ATM distribution network as well as any corporate.
