Abstract
This study investigates the possibilities offered by type-II intracavity second harmonic generation. Results show that by injecting an image in one linearly polarized pump beam and a homogeneous field with the orthogonal polarization, according to the value of the latter, either the frequency and polarization transfer of the image or the possibility to enhance its contrast is obtained. In addition, interesting noise filtering effects are discussed.
