  • Abstract
This paper presents a new method for fuzzy group decision-making based on similarity measures between interval linguistic terms, where interval linguistic terms are used to represent the decision-makers´ preference. The existing method for fuzzy group decision-making has the following drawbacks: 1) it can not deal with fuzzy group decision-making problems in which interval linguistic terms are used to represent the decision makers´ preference; 2) it has the never-ending consensus process problem when the threshold value r = 1. The proposed method can overcome the drawbacks of the existing method.
