Abstract
Planar microstrip discontinuities are analyzed by the full-wave, space-domain moment method at microwave and millimeter wavelengths. Redundant calculations in the moment matrix are eliminated by utilizing various symmetries. At lower microwave frequencies quasi-static approximations are invoked to simplify the analysis. Sample computed results are presented for the current distribution and the S -parameters for L-shaped bends, meander lines, and multiturn spiral inductors. Computed results compare reasonably well with measurements on a vector network analyzer
