Abstract
In this paper the main statistical data regarding tourism flows and retailing in the Republic of Croatia are presented. Tourism is defined by the diverse collection of products and services that are delivered to visitors. The aim of the paper is to show some aspects of the relationship between Croatian retail trade and tourism as a complex economic sector. Tourism and distributive trade statistics conducted by the Croatian Central Bureau of Statistics are the data source for a core set of indicators necessary for identifying the correlation between these two economic activities.
