Abstract
The study of educational evaluation is by now mostly limited within the realm of the science of education itself, and is frequently found to depend on qualitative analysis. Nevertheless, the study of science is apt to combine several subjects and focus on the accuracy and comparability of the analysis. In this project, a quantitative study of educational evaluation is conducted in the framework of theories and models of economics. This thesis is designed to construct a new quantitative educational evaluation model on teachers based on the theory of consumer behavior, which “is the description of how consumers allocate incomes among different goods and services to maximize their well-being” (Richard, 2001, p. 54). This quantitative model will provide a more efficient and humane evaluation result on teachers and more accurate results are provided for the sake of comparison. In addition, this model is a tentative study to combine education science and economics.
