Abstract :
This paper describes on the changes of the starting potential of short gap discharge (SGD), Vs, as a function of time. Authors express the empirical equation for these changes of Vs; Vs=Vso exp(-kt)+Vss(1-exp(-kt)). The suitable condition for NOx dissociation is discussed form following two relations: (1) the ratio of input power and the power consumed in SGD, (2) the relation between ionization coefficient of electron, α/P, and the electric field between electrodes, X/P
