Abstract :
Mutual admittance approach was extended to the application on finite curved slot arrays. Changes of magnetic current distribution, scattering patterns and transmission properties were examined when planar slot arrays were truncated and curved. Compared with the finite planar arrays, curvature leads to violent fluctuation of magnetic current distribution, wider beamwidth and higher side lobes, and considerable changes also occur in frequency-response characteristics. Only when the flare angle is small enough (below 60°) does the curved effects get weak.
